I tried several and they gave me two problems, they matted his hair and irritated his skin on his belly and armpit area. It was actually the shape of the harness that made a difference for my little boy. I used a cheap nylon step in harness from Petsmart that had a rounder shape for the piece that goes behind the legs (around his belly). That one didn't irritate him. Capt_Noonie took pitty on me and Kaji and made him a "Priscilla original" harness modeled after the shape of the nylon harness. I have since given away all of my extra harnesses, including the Petsmart nylon harness, to small dog owners in my area that were walking their dogs on their collars instead of harnesses. Can't say if it can be recreated, but the "Priscilla Original" harness sure has made a difference!
