I, too, am looking for a second larger yorkie and what I've found... there's a ton that show up in rescue. Also, alot of times breeders will get oversized pups. Jackson was 5lbs at 8 weeks old, and I think anyone could have guessed he'd get bigger! lol. So I think once you start looking at pups, look for 4-5lb babies at 8-12 weeks old. It's not a guarantee of course. Petfinder.com is a great source.

You're in MD, aren't you? Maybe the larger puppy you were thinking about getting would be a good match for the OP?

I've put a TON of people trying to rehome a dog in touch with people wanting one, successfully. And vice versa. That puppy sounds like he might be perfect for the OP.

To the OP. I am so sorry you lost your boy. I know it was a tough decision, one of the most heartbreaking I've ever had to make, and how lonely not having a furry baby running around the house must be. Hope you find the right baby soon.
