I gave up trying to restrain Rhett about day 3. Confining him was making him too anxious- he was trying to crawl up the sides of the crate. He was getting friendly with his bed, too- I think mostly just from stress. Letting him out helped him calm down immensely.

I would let him out and just keep an eye on him. Try (operative word is try) to not let him jump on/off of furniture or go up and down stairs.

I'm floored the vet didn't send pain meds home. Poor baby.
