Have you looked up the eye drops online to see if there are side effects to them?
I would suggest you call the vet and ask if it is at all possible that the eye drops did it. You don't want to just stop using the eye drops if he has an infection; but also don't want to keep using them if they do cause such systemic side effects.
My guess is it is not from the drops, but better safe than sorry.
