Oh yeah...I was half dead when I posted. You are right..it is viral! Antibiotics will not cure it...DUH. But they often end up with bacterial infections thus an antibiotic. I would still be concerned that the cough has gotten worse.
Did they do a cbc? That would indicate if there is a viral or bacterial infection going on.
