Notes: Update: Sadie was diagnosed with a grade 5 heart murmur when she went in for her dental. No dental was performed due to the risk of anesthesia. We have started her on an inexpensive heart medication that may help her heart. Some dogs live with heart murmurs for years or a lifetime. Currently she has no symptoms of heart problems or heart failure - but it is unknown when she might experience problems.
Sadie is a sweet senior Dachshund/Yorkie mix spayed female, 13 years old. She has a soft shaggy golden coat and short Doxie like legs with a pointy little snout. Sadie is very active for her age and trots around the house happily. She loves to snuggle in the recliner watching TV in the evening. How sad for such a great girl to be homeless at the age of 13, she had been well cared for with her owner of the last 7 years. Her owner reports she has some mild seasonal allergies in the spring and summer and may require some medicated baths and short rounds of medications during those times. Can you help her find her retirement home today? She'd like a quiet retirement home so no young children please. Her $75 adoption fee includes spay, vaccinations, deworming, vet check, heartworm test.
