Sorry this happened to you, thanks for the heads up for people who don't think of this. It is awfully rude to pet someones furbaby without permission anyway.
I would have been peeved too and wouldn't care what they say to me.
Mine also never touch the floor when they are at the vet. Straight from the crate or my arms to the room and I wipe off the table and little scale before they get on, lol. They've come to expect that of me
