You are right, ideally it would have been best to have a mentor before breeding but what's done is done. I remember when my Dixie had her first litter, about 12 years ago, the people I bought her from were right there with me helping deliver the pups. It is always stressful when delivering pups, no matter how long you have done it. So many things can go wrong.
