Just a warning! I took my 6 mo. old to the vet for baby teeth removal. As I was checking in, another client reached and petted her face. I turned away and asked that they
please not pet her as she was just in for teeth and not sick. Of course, I got
the "what a B....! look". I said I was sorry, but usually dogs that come to the vet are sick and my puppy isn't. Their dog was COUGHING! My puppy went in for surgery and her Bordatella, but alas it was too late!...now everyone here at
home that wasn't vaccinated (all the young ones), have kennel cough! I'm just saying.....don't let people pet your dogs at the vet......I never do, but was blind sided. The one time I didn't use a crate, I got punished. I know that's where it came from, as I spoke to the vet about it and the dog did have kennel cough....the vet quarantined it as soon as they checked in, but too late for me. Just wanted to share so that everyone knows the possibilities that can take place. Next time I'll wait outside until they call me. |
