I have a 1 year old male yorkie. I was thinking of getting another male. I found a 3 month old puppy.

Chewie is a good dog. He doesnt bark and he is potty trained. If I get a another puppy, could the puppy change Chewie's personality? Like bark more for example? I am so happy with Chewie but scared that getting a new dog might change him in a bad way. But he's always been nice to other dogs.

Is it ok to leave 2 dogs alone in the house?

And for my last question. I read somewhere that when you have two dogs they usually dont need any human contact because they have their dog companion already.
Chewie has never been clingy with me but he's really sweet in the morning when we wake up or when I get home. Will all of this change if I get a 2nd dog??

Thanks! have great day to all of you!
I have several yorkies both male and female seeing as I show and breed them. When they are left home I will leave a female and a male together as long as one or the other is neutered or spayed, but I never, ever leave 2 of the same sex together. They can start a fight and if they do they will fight until one of them is dead. Mine are either crated or penned in seperate areas when we have to leave them alone. I have a couple of females that absolutly hate each other and will try to kill each other if they get together.
