Oh, I did the same thing. I actually, when I had a problem, could not find the manual and had to find it online. DUH
I looked for one the other day for you...and the Hoover site was down for maintenance and then I totally forgot about it. I had tried to call you...missed you and then was off doing Heaven only knows what. I am glad you found the problem!
I am doing my floors today. I don't love cleaning, but have to say I don't dread the floors like I used to thanks to my buddy!
