Default Paper towels can cause intestinal blockage

Empress Gracie is a very sick puppy. Her dumb Momma thought it was so cute when she played so happily with paper towels, not realizing that it would possibly cause a digestion blockage problem. She has been sick (very sick) since Sunday morning. She was still eating, drinking and had a bowel movement yesterday morning. She started vomiting yesterday afternoon. We saw the vet and she got a little something for nausea and a puppy laxative to take every two hours. She came home and drank a lot of water and then threw up again. This morning still very lethargic and not mobile she drank a little water and kept it down. But still no bowel movement. We will have an xray and see the vet again this morning.

I can’t believe I was so stupid. Even my 13 year old son said not to let her play with the paper towels. Our golden retriever (who we had for 16 years) ate a sock once that came out the other end. It never occurred to me that a little bit of shredded paper towel would cause a problem. She is so tiny and so sad. I am sick that I did this to her.

We are going to the vet in an hour. Any advise you can give? She is 11 weeks old and only weighs 3.2 lbs.
