Today was her first feeding I gave her 1 medallion and she scarfed it down-shes loves it!! This was totally missing from her diet- I could tell shes excited for this change as I am too! My question is do you totally eliminate dry food? I thought kibble was good for keeping their teeth strong? My girl is 6 lbs does 2 medallions a day sound right? Its says on the bag 4-5 medallions for a 10 lbs dog. Thanks all! | I think your pup will decide she doesn't need kibble, by not eating it anymore...That's what mine did...If she weighs 6 lbs., I'd give her 1 1/2 medallions twice a day...If she starts gaining weight (which I doubt), you can cut her down to 2 a day...the reason I say this, is I use to give Apple 2 medallions a day, when she weighed 5 1/2 lbs., and she lost weight on two...I feed Primal, now, and give her 1 1/4 a day, and that seems to work for her...I feed Buzz 1 1/2, twice a day (he's about 6 lbs.) and that works for him...Just play it by ear, and weigh her about once a month...Isn't it wondeful to see them so excited about their food!!!! |
