Well of course, as you know the pads on dogs feet are just like sneakers for us. So I am guessing the only thing that you would have to worry about is the thin hair around his ankles. So just treat him like you would if he was wearing sneakers. Now I'm not big on them but if you're going over to Germany now in this season I would suggest using the boots. It would probably keep him alot warmer.
