My little guy has a docked tail, but I think long tails (though not the standard in the US) are beautiful! Several members have Yorkies with long tails, and I love them. Since docking is cosmetic, some people feel it is inhumane or just isn't necessary. I'm pretty sure that tail docking is illegal in the UK now, for example.
