I think of Rizzo as strong-willed not dumb...i.e. he won't do a trick if he doesn't see a treat in my hand...though his re-call is really getting good, since he comes instantly to "treat time" just started saying "treat, come" and now he is almost always coming to just "come" woohoo! but when I'm teaching him new tricks or re-inforcing the old ones, he won't do a thing until he see's the treats. So I call that smart, not dumb
