I do think people don't give Yorkies enough credit for all that they can do. But that's humans fault. Yorkies are known as the Holiday Paris Hilton purse dog who can't do anything but look pretty... and thats simply not the case!
Intelligence testing can be misleading, according to intelligence tests, cats are really stupid, but experts think it has more to do with their unwillingness to cater to humans. Yorkies are the same way, they aren't as willing to please humans, just for the heck of it, and I think their overall stubbornness shows up more in test scores then their intelligence. If you can find a way to motivate your Yorkie, they learn tricks very fast. Joey was the youngest, and smallest dog in his trick training class, and he was the only dog that mastered every trick!
