If you vets really suspects PLE I would have him contact Cornell as they are doing a study right now on PLE in Yorkies. I was asked to participate by supplying bood sames of all my dogs. I have never had any PLE but they are doing a broad based pedigree study of lines affected and those not. Along with the samples they requested a ped and vet records on my dogs.
I am always more then glad to participate in ANY study that will help our breed get stronger and healthier.
They told me it was important to participate even though my dogs have NEVER had any PLE. I guess they are studing as many pedigrees as possible.
