OMG'sh, I would definitely get a little male...They seem to be the most cuddly, and everyone should have, at least one lol...I have a yorkie female, Apple, my first love...Then I got my cuddle bug, Buzz, my little sweet boy, then I got my little rescue Chorkie, Cha Cha...full of energy, fiesty, faithful, and fun...Apple was a year old, when I got Buzz, and I think that worked well for me...However, if your hubby is going to let you get one now, I'd go for it, in case in changes his mind lolol...All the best to you and your family
