Finally I was able to get a hold of her and when I took her into the bathroom to look at it I noticed her toenail was half way up in the hair and kind of hanging there. I tried moving it and it's still attached. She was not crying or anything and was walking fine. She just kept licking it and licking it.
I held a towel to it and tried calling my vet which said that there wasn't much that she could say over the phone unless I wanted to bring her in but it could wait until Monday. To save me a large vet bill I have decided to wait until Monday.
Today I noticed she is moping around being lazy and doesn't want to play really. She is still licking it once in a while but noticed she tucks the foot under whenever she is laying around. I keep putting it under water and have cleaned it a little bit with some peroxcide.
Just wondering if there are any comments or any thing I should be concerned about. She's only 6 months and I am sad that this had to happen to her. I don't want her to get an infection or anything. I don't know if I should be worried or not?
Thanks to anyone that responds!

hey there maggie my yorkie chloe did that 2 wks ago i don't know how she did it if she jumped out of her box she has 2 male pups who are 7wks today i had her on my lap and when i lifted her off i noticed the blood i washed it with soapy water and i dried it and put lots of corn starch on it which stopped the bleeding i bandaged it up at night but it managed to come off her nail did fall off and she limped on it for a few days i figured the vet would do the same thing but they said not to use peroxide on it cause of the licking just soap and water or medicated soap you buy at the drug store i just stuck with washing it every day and keeping an eye on it..it should heal on it's own..chloe is fine now and walking fine and it's not sore no more..gl and keep up posted thanks
