The enforcement of the rules can appear subjective, but the best thing to do is to re read the rules and send admin and the moderators a PM explaining why you think it wasn't fair and they will try to explain.
Frankly, I have been on several forums and the admin here, while not perfect...sorry Dan....is the best I have encountered. They really do make an effort to be fair, but everyone is human and sometimes personal opinions have some say in the decisions. No way to prevent it.
Don't let it discourage you from posting...just stay within the rules and you should do okay.
