He's probably just tired. My Lulu does this also. She will play more than normal one day & then the next day she has to catch up with her rest & won't play quite as much but naps more often. As long as he's eating, peeing, & pooping normally and isn't lethargic I think he's fine. If you are very worried, a quick call to the vet may set your mind at ease.
