My Morkie Belle is the light of my life. We got her at 12 weeks and 2.5 pounds.Now at a year and a half she is a whopping 7 pounds. Belle is black and white and her hair is mostly straight. Her body and ears are like her Maltese dad and her face, eyes and attitude are from Yorkie mama. There we 7 puppies in her litter from a 7 pound Yorkie and none of them looked alike. Belle is extremely smart and understands way too many words. Sometimes she is very independant and other times she is mommy's baby. We also have an 85 pound Lab that finally gave in and accepted that Belle would be staying. We had lost of Miniature Schnauzer 6 months before we got Belle and our Lab was grieving very badly as was his mommy. I thought my heart would never heal after losing Abby. Belle seemed to know that I needed her to help heal and she has been the best medicine for both of us. I can't imagine being without Belle. I went back and forth between Maltese or Yorkie for quite awhile but ended up with the best of both. Buying from someone you trust is important. A good family breeder will give you references and vet papers for healthy puppies.
I love to look at Morkie pics as no two look exactly alike. There is a site called maltesemaniac.com that is great. You can either join or just look at pics. People post pics and info about their furbabies and you receive them on your email. They are anything from Maltese to Yorkies to Morkies to any other Maltese mix. Most of them are soooo cute! You will enjoy that site also and get lots of info. Good luck finding your sweet baby.
