That's interesting. My vet told me Thursday about a dog that had water therapy done at UF, it wound up being too much for the dog. He actually "overdid" his leg excercise and was in quite a bit of pain afterward. He'd suggested I do swimming with mine. I tried it once and after I told him the dogs reaction, he told me not to try it again.

Seriously, the dog had a petrified look on his face, I felt terrible. He's ok with a bath, when he can keep all 4 feet planted, but when that was gone he was terrified.

I know vet's vary on information and how to's. I read earlier where heartworm prevention shouldnt be started for 6 months. Our new pup was started at 8 1/2 weeks. Our Yorkie was started at 4 months. Mosquitos are EVERYWHERE down here. My husbands vet told him Advantage multi wasn't effective if you bathe them more than twice a month. My vet told me a bath a week would be fine (unless its medicated shampoo) and not effect the medicine. Seems every vet has a different view.

I seriously hope Andy feels better very soon!!
