Yes, like everyone said, it probably will take a little time. It took us about a month - but I had a very strong-willed, dominant Westie. Nothing laid back about him.
Try to give Woody some extra special attention right now. He needs to know that he has not lost his status in the 'pack'. I know it's hard - but you need to pay more attention to Woody than to your new pup right now. Do everything first for Woody; first treat; first to eat (yes, I would feed separately); first out the door; first to get greeted.
If you can, take him for a special walk by himself. Give him some space that he can get away from the puppy for a little while.
Ringo wanted to eat Lucy's puppy chow too. I eventually started putting a little in his bowl so he wouldn't be so jealous.
Hopefully, when she has had all her shots - you can walk them together and that will help their bonding.
I'm sure they will be fast friends very quickly.
