I have two female dogs that will both be 2 in October. One is a yorkie and one is a bull terrier. Neither of them have been spayed although I will be spaying my female yorkie soon.
They get along great! I think most of the reason they do get along so well is because they are the same age. My bull terrier was here first and she has let Lola take charge in the house. We have a male yorkie as well who is neutered and Lola is in charge of the house! My bull terrier has never as much as growled at Lola for any reason, Lola however does act bossy towards my bull terrier at times. I think it's all in how you introduce them and raise them.
My mom has two females as well, one a yorkie and one a boxer. The boxer is a spayed senior. They also get along wonderfully but of course with an older dog she does get a tad bit grumpy sometimes and doesn't like all the jumping around, but for 95% of the time they get along like best friends!
