It's really hard to say. Some people have told me their babies have not chewed through these as easily. You would really just have to try it out and see.
I had been using 100% cotton and recently changed to acrylic yarn because it holds up better. For tough chewers I can double the yarn when I make the toy if it is requested ahead of time.
