Still needing help My poor boy is still suffering. I posted my question allergies when I first took him in. I had to take him in again several weeks later as he was still biting, itching, rubbing his head, eating his feet. They gave him another vetalog shot and an antibiotic shot the doctor said binds to the proteins and is slowly released?.
So, 2 days ago, I noticed his eyes were very red and when I got home from work he had a greenish discharge. Took him back to the vet for the 3rd time yesterday.
He has conjunctivitis in both eyes and doctor said his skin was very red. I looked at it and it is more purplish, hard to explain, but no more hives or splotches.
Dr. did a skin scraping, found nothing. He put some revolution on him (he said just in case there is just one or two mites he isn't seeing) and said let's give this a try, we will call you in 3 weeks.
I have one dog on a hypoallergenic dog food, so I told him I am also switching Sachi over as he is so miserable.
It's now a day and a half later and my boy is still itchy and miserable. His eyes are looking better though. I had to give him some benadryl this evening because he wouldnt stop biting himself.
Does anybody have any experience with this? I don't think the vet has any idea what is going on and I can't stand it anymore and don't know what to do for my baby.
Please help.
