Bartleby scratches /digs on my face to be let out in the morning. So, Bartleby will be one next month, and he is a well adjusted and darling dog. My biggest complaint is when he has to go potty. He uses his stairs to get into my bed, where he doesn't sleep, and scratches and/or digs on my face or head to wake me up.
I've resorted to hiding under the covers in the morning so my husband can be harassed. But, he just won't stop. Water bottles don't work; he just looks at me as he is sprayed. I try to be firm with my "no" which usually works every other time. He also has issues with not listening to a "no" when he is jumping up and scratching on my leg.
Does anyone else have a dog who uses this method to awake them? Any suggestions on how to get him to stop? Thanks |
