A friend of mine got a very young puppy and was completely over whelmed. The puppy was barely eating hard food when the lady said she was ready to go home!! It was just awful!! The dog had an upset stomach from being away and the change in its diet.
SO when it came time for me to get Claire, I would not buy a dog any less than 12 weeks old. I did some research and found out that yorkies are supposed to be 12 weeks before they are removed from their mother and littler mates.
Claire was mostly crate trained and already eating regular puppy food. We had none of the problem my friend had with her very young puppy! I was glad that the breeder we got Claire from would have sold her puppies any younger. Claire was the second largest puppy and the first to leave her family! *at 12 weeks still!!* BTW she is now almost 11 lbs!!
