I would suggest the "no", then the penny in a bottle or the water spray. I tried all those with Duke and each worked for a while. He's almost 3 now and has calmed down on his own a bit (knock on wood) but still bark at the door bell or some very specific people in the neighborhood and my only way of getting him to stop is to keep walking away as he is barking. It can be really frustrating but that's the only thing that works for us.
