Default Chew toys... should I take this away

So Harley has found his new love... it's his little Harley Davidson motorcycle... however he's discovered it is chewable (it's a hard plasticy/rubber squeak toy)
When I gave it to him, he had the handlebar and windshield chewed off in less than 30 minutes... I was constantly plucking rubber pieces out of his mouth.

So my first thoughts were... take it away. well I don't leave him with it unsupervised... but then I realized something... He chews the rubber mats on his grid the same way, and spits the pieces out... cause I always find little rubber chunks all over his room. So I got to thinking, as long as I'm with him can he have this toy... because I can get it out if he chokes on a piece right?

Thoughts? He loves it sooo much, I'd hate to take it away for good, but at the same time, he's my baby and I don't want him hurt... and I am in no way considering leaving him unsupervised with it... only hard toys he gets unsupervised are his kong and rubbery chew-proof toys.
