I am wondering if that bland Purina diet has any corn in it?? Because some of the prescription type foods use corn and dogs are usually allergic to it so you just trade one problem for another!! When my dogs need to be on a bland diet, I start with boiling some white meat chicken, then I take the chicken out of the pot and boil some rice in the chicken water. For the first day I usually just give some of the rice with the broth in it. Then I start adding in some of the chicken, a little bit at first and more as they tolerate it, until their tummies are back to normal. Also, for the poop, I add about a teaspoon or so of canned pumpkin, not the pie mix, just the plain canned pumpkin. It is a fiber that dogs can digest and it works well for hard poop or soft poop, and usually works really fast. I hope your babies get better soon. I got 2 pups from the same litter, a boy and a girl, they love each other but the boy is much larger and more rambunctious and the girl is a little sweetheart, but I usually allowed them to work it out and she is very tolerant but when he keeps at her, she lets him know now. So long as one pup isn't hurting the other, it is better for them to work out their own relationship. I do think that the crating might have something to do with it to because mine were together 24/7, they slept together, ate together everything. At first I used a kid's play pen when they were tiny to keep them out of trouble when I wasn't home and when they slept at night. Then I put up a baby gate in the kitchen and they got put in the kitchen when I went out. They might need more time with each other, relationships take time and I'm sure in time they will be best buds. Good Luck. |
