I'm going to BB&B to *look* at vacuums at lunch. After thinking about this all day yesterday, I went home and got out my Hoover which is a few years old and bottom of the line. It's been making a funny noise, a high pitch whine that gets louder and faster the longer it runs....sometimes I think it's going to blow up.

If I talk myself into a new vacuum right now, it will be a Dyson. I'm hoping that BB&B will have them on display so I can get a feel for how much they weigh, how maneuverable they are, etc. Since it could be returned, I may go ahead and buy one to try out. I still don't know! Sorry for the rambling confusion.....
Ha Ha! Glad you liked my review.
One more thing I forgot to tell you. And it is VERY IMPORTANT!! Get the model with the "ball" technology. There is a ball where the handle connects to the flat part of the sweeper. A slight flick of the wrist and that sweeper turns on a dime. No going front, back, front, back, front, back, just to sweep under a chair.

This handle takes a bit getting used to, but you will LOVE IT!
