I think it takes time and continuous training. I read once that a puppy should go at least 30 consecutive days accident-free before you can really consider them "potty trained". When we were training our two yorkies I would counti the days...They would go 5, 10, 20 days and have an accident, then it was back to square one. Continue to be consistent with your training, and good luck getting to 30+ days
