Please, please, please consider adoption!! We have had three Yorkies, all of whom were rescues. Our first little guy we adopted when he was 10 from the shelter here in DC. He was such a sweetheart and we had him for 7 years before he passed away at the age of 17.
My little guy Vinnie was also adopted from the DC shelter (he was probably around 2 when I adopted him).
The most recent addition to our family, Alex, was adopted from a local rescue group (Rescue Me - Yorkie Rescue:
Rescue Me Yorkie Rescue). He has been through quite a few homes, but he's here to stay with us forever.
