I agree. The little Yorkie I just adopted was dumped at the pound by his last family after his "skin issue" did not clear up. They just didn't want to deal with it. And he's the sweetest little guy you could ever meet! Totally well-behaved, house-trained, quiet. Just a dream! And his skin issue isn't even that bad; just some allergies that seem to be helped with a better diet and some basic skin management.
It's really sad, but there are so many dogs that are just dumped off. The rescue I worked with (Rescue Me - Yorkie Rescue) has so many Yorkies on their website that were the victims of abuse or neglect, or who were just no longer wanted because they were old. Please, please, please adopt!!! There are so many dogs out there, Yorkies included, that have been dumped and need good homes.
Oh, and I'm with lil_fu_fu_girl - People are the worst species around!
