I used to give Wobie a low dose of tranquilizer given to me by my vet for Wobie's grooming. He was really bad at the groomers and it made me feel horrible seeing him like that. After several times using the meds, he improved enough to be groomed without them. Maybe you could experiment with tiny doses and see what works.
