Begging is so hard to stop once it starts. I remember about a year ago, my parents were over for dinner and they brought a cherry pie. Well, my dad thought it would be cute to give Tatum a lick of the cherry filling off his finger. Of course he got in trouble because all of a sudden, Tatum started begging after that. It only took a few days of ignoring it to make her stop but that was only after ONE taste of the "people food" so it may take a little longer of tough love to deprogram one that's been fed like yours has. Good luck!
Other than that one instance, Tatum just doesn't beg. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that she gets NO people food. Only dog food and dog treats. But what I had to share is that in the mornings, I get up really early and have to eat my bowl of Cocoa Puffs first thing. I am so hungry in the morning that this bowl of CP is so brimming full (big bowl yet too!) that a couple of them sometimes roll out and hit the floor on the way to the table. Tatum knows that this might happen and is always on the lookout. Other than that though, sometimes she comes and sits by my chair and stares at me when we eat dinner but it's only so she can get up and lay on my lap while I eat. She doesn't even try to look at my plate. That probably needs to stop too (she just started it recently) but it's just too darn cute to see that little face.
