I think they will have you wait until the heat is over to spay her. I guess you can't even trust the vets anymore huh?!! They are probably desperate for a foster home in these times and didn't want to tell you that she hadn't been fixed. But most legitimate & responsible rescues have relationships with vets that will do spay & neuters at deeply discounted prices, obviously this rescue doesn't.
