there are OTHER options,
one happy option i can think of is moving.
i don't understand why moving is so easily written off as being something that is impossible to do , and debarking the dog is a good option when moving is an option. then i guess you should never sell to anyone who lives in an apartment, because they won't move, they'll just debark dog instead. |
Ouch! That seems kind of harsh. I explored a multitude of options before even considering having Sophie's bark softened. I tried many positive behavior oriented approaches, products, and medical advice from my vet. Moving is not an option. I have almost a year to go on my apt. lease, which is with a very large corporation. If I just up and move they will hold me responsible for the rent (and I just can't afford rent on 2 places) and the will withhold my security deposit, which is almost $2,000. In a perfect world, I would be able to pay rent on 2 places and losing $2K wouldn't matter... however, I just finished grad. school and am working as a college professor. Which means I'm pretty tight on cash right now. Not being able to afford to just up and move doesn't make me a bad person. I hope I misread the tone of your post, because I read it as really harsh. Hopefully I've simply misinterpreted it. All the best to you and your dog(s)!
