The changes in living conditions and them being alone all day bothered me alot. My girls still haven't fully adjusted to apartment living after having the freedom of a yard. They just sit at the door all day waiting for me but are very quiet (as I said earlier - I've asked my neighbors and all have said they never hear them bark)
I'm so sorry that you lost your husband and your life has changed so much and so quickly. (warm hug) Isn't it amazing how our little fur babies can help us cope in troubling times? My father died a few months ago and I would just sit on the sofa or lie in my bed and cry my eyes out. Every time, Sophie would come up to me, look at me with her big brown eyes, and then snuggle up to me and lick my hand. She knew I was hurting and she was trying to take care of me in her little way. I hope your girls have been a comfort to you as well.
