Prince is taking 1/4 aminophylline every morning and 1/4 torbutrol every night. He also used Temaril P as needed.
I was paying $20.00 for five aminophylline pills. I had asked his vet several times if they had a maintenence rate, but it was basically the same, even in bulk. While the vet was on vaction, I called in for a refill, and asked the vet tec about a better price since Prince will need this for the rest of his life, she put me on hold, came back and told me that I could buy 100 pills for $35.00. Why wasn't I told this before!!!! The vet and I will have a little chat when he gets back!!!! I'm not sure how much I pay for the torbutrol, but will try to get that in bulk as well. I'll let you know when I get a refill in a few days. Prince doesn't cough, so I don't need meds for that. The only time Prince needs oxygen is after he gets his nail cut. He gets so worked up over that, even with Rescue Remedy.
It's so sad.
