With my first litter, I was put into a situation where I could not miss work. I knew my girl was in labor so took her to my vet's for the day. They watched her all day but her labor never progressed. Once I got her home, she had her first baby within 15 minutes. I felt so guilty leaving her there, though I had no choice, but would never do that again. It's just too stressful on them.
