Hello.I am new to yorkie talk.I have done some reading about yorkies at barns & noble.I have never owned a yorkie, but I find them one of the most beautiful breeds of dogs.I love there hair, and they all look like they smile.
I have been a dachound owner for 10 years until she got sick and had a siezure that would not stop the vet could do nothing to stop them

.It was sad and I miss her so much.I would get another doxie but there backs are so fragile it would bug me worring about it 24/7.No I am not trying to replace her.
I work from home live in a house (not a apt) Take good care of my animals keep them on a leash, don't let them run the neighborhood,Have a big yard to play.
I feel I would be a good owner to a yorkie.Although I have some concerns.
The liver shunts I have asked some breeders about them and they act clueless. How do I find a good responsible breeder?
What questions should I be asking them about yorkies in general?
The yorkies colors.I have looked at a normal colored one and a Parti. The party had black hair around its eyes will that change and go lighter or red or stay the same?
Prices is there a point when you are paying to much or to little for a Yorkie? One I looked at for a parti was 2000 and for the normal color was 700.
Alright I did some research on dog shows coming up in your state ; the source of my information is
www.infodog.com and you could also go to
www.akc.org to look up dog shows coming to Wyoming in the next few months:.
The type you of show you want has the initals AB = All breed shows. Here you can find if the |Yorkshire Terrier is showing actually meet the breed and some breeders. At about 7 days after the closing date for entries you can go back on line and look at the judging schedule, that will tell you how many Yorkies are entered.

After I buy one what test and other stuff do I have the vet do?-
Well bats should be repeated at about six months old. If the dog has not been bat tested then have vet do the bats. You can find the link to Jean Dodds testing protocol, and another good link is her recommendations on vaccinations. The vet can and probably will do a through examination and that should also include a manual test on the knees to see about LP or Luxating Patella.
Thank You.Thats all I can think of right now.:
