If anything, remember that all babies, both skin and fur, need direction. Spend time training your furbaby so he grows up to be a "polite" and obedient adult dog. I get so many compliments about how I "raised" my baby boy from my mom. I've never seen her so proud of me. If you can raise a well mannered furbaby, with a language barrier, you'll make a great mother to a skin baby who will understand better. |
Exactly!

Jackson is my total baby boy. He's really like having a little kid sometimes, lol. I buy far too many things for him, I feel guilty for leaving him alone for a while... but he's also trained. And he knows I'm his mama/boss. A spoiled dog is not a happy dog or a fun dog to be around. Jackson, while my baby, still gets to be a dog. We take daily walks, dog parks visits, swimming, hiking, rivers, beaches, running time, play time with other dogs, etc. Training is key to having a healthy, happy relationship with your dogs! You rule the house, not the other way around!
