Nope, you're not crazy.. sounds like you're like the rest of us!
Be careful however.. separation anxiety can develop without giving him some alone time, and no one likes an obnoxious kid, so remember to teach him manners. They can become the boss without you even realizing it, so you need to remain the "leader" of his pack.
