Prince has a severe case of collapsing trachea, although he doesn't cough. He has a lot of trouble inhaling at times. Like you, we have had Prince on several different meds, been in and out of our emergency animal hospital and his vet. He is taking aminophylline (1/4 pill) in the morning and (1/4 pill) torbutrol at night. He also has a steroid that he takes when he is having a really rough time.
We try to keep him calm, watch his food intake and limit his activities.
Every case of CT is different, so you have to find what works for your baby. This is truly a nightmare. It is so hard watching him struggle to breath.
(Oh, if you have a lot of stairs, you may want to carry him up/down them. Prince would have an episode if we let him run up and down ours.)
