Yeah, I don't know why he's going in his crate, making it smaller is a good idea. I know many have a set back around 6 months due to teething and neutering, but they are back on track in a couple of weeks. People often say that the first thing you should check for is the physical, and if since he seems to know he's suppose to go outside, it concerns me that he's going on his blankets, unless he just thinks they are a pee pad. If that keeps up after using Nature's Miracle on the blankets, you might want to check him for a bladder infection, although it's unusual in males.
