Hope your little one is feeling better.

It doesn't hurt to ask the vet. I would also ask about the food you are going to switch him to... not all vets give a great response to this, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Just tell them that you want to feed something higher quality... no corn, no fillers, etc. I've seen vets that promote the crappy food (which annoys me), in my experience it's better to as a nutritionalist than a vet when it comes to food questions. But maybe I've just had my share of crappy vets over the years.
